Email problems...

ARGHHHHHH!!!!  Unfortunately, we have been plagued with email issues recently.  Some of our emails are not being received (both incoming and outgoing), and it has been extremely frustrating!  If you have tried to contact us recently by email, and have not heard back, please follow up, or give us a phone call.  We never ignore messages, so if you don't hear from us, it's because we have not received your emails.  We apologize for this inconvenience, and assure you that we are trying to discover and remedy the source of the problems.

Great News!

Our lovely Tango (Best in Show and multiple group winner Ch. Jetstream Classique) has been confirmed pregnant via ultrasound.  Bred to Am. Ch. Fanfare's My Kind of Crazy, we expect a beautiful litter of fawns to be born on or about August 15th.  You can see Tango and Chesney on our Puppies page. Please contact us for more information.

Puppies on the Way!

We are so excited to announce that our princess, Gaia, is definitely pregnant, and is expecting her litter about August 2, 2012. An ultrasound shows a nice sized litter, and Gaia is acting the part of an expectant mother. We are indulging her, of course, with special, tempting treats and lots of extra TLC. Here is an ultrasound photo showing three of the little pups, at about 27 days' gestation.
Stay tuned for more news in early August.

Two Exciting Breedings!

Two very exciting breedings have taken place at Jetstream Whippets.  Our lovely princess, Gaia (dam of our superstars "Cheekie" and "Kimmi"), has been bred to Joska Forgetmenot Idealist. "Fergus" himself has produced some outstanding offspring, and we have great expectations for this pairing.  If all goes well, beautiful brindle babies should be born about August 3, 2012.

Our second liaison between our stunning Best in Show winning "Tango" and handsome gentleman "Chesney" (Am. Ch. Fanfare's My Kind of Crazy) will hopefully result in a litter of exotic and curvy fawn babies, to be born about August 14.  See our "Puppies" page for photos of Tango and Chesney.

Great Weekend at Canadian National Specialty!

Jetstream Whippets had a great weekend at the Erie Shores and associated Sighthound & Whippet Specialties over the weekend of June 1-3. On Friday, June 1, our "Kimmi" made it all the way to the final cut (in an entry of over 60 Whippets) at the Great Lakes Whippet Club specialty, under judge Espen Engh, literally just missing out on an Award of Merit (as the Winner's Dog was doubled up with an AOM).

At the National Whippet Club of Canada on Saturday, under esteemed Whippet judge Bo Bengtson, "Cheekie" was awarded an AOM in an entry of about 70 Whippets; she also earned "Best Breeder-Owner Handled Whippet in Specialty.  Their dam "Gaia" (Ch. Forgetmenot Glamore) was awarded the Best Brood Bitch in the National Specialty, and Jetstream Forgetmnot Playboy earned his first altered championship points by winning Best Altered Male, both at the GLWC and NWCC specialties.

At Gazehound Ontario, on Sunday, June 3, litter sisters Cheekie and Kimmi were both granted Award of Merits under judge David Miller!  Kimmi also earned the Best of Opposite Sex award at the all-breed show, in a very competitive entry, under judge Eugene Blake.

Despite the less than perfect weather, we had many great reasons to smile!

New Puppy at Jetstream!

On Sunday, March 11th, we welcomed "Opal" to our Jetstream family.  She is "Forgetmenot Jetstream On Fire", and she is beautiful!  For an 8-1/2 week old pup, she carries herself so well, and when something catches her eye and she strikes a pose, she is breathtaking!  Thank you, Joanne (Forgetmenot Whippets), for entrusting this lovely baby girl to us.  Her future is sure to be a hot one!  Photo soon!

Izzy's First Points!

At the Purina National show this past weekend (March 11th), Isabelle, more formally known as "Jetstream Party at the Mansion", earned her first three points towards her Canadian championship, under Judge Enrique Filippini of Buenos Aires, Argentina.  We are very proud of Izzy, just 13 months old, as this was her first time shown, and in a cavernous, noisy building at that!  Next stop:  American Whippet Club National Specialty in Huron, Ohio (April 2012).
